In addition to photography, I also have experience working in the film industry. I have a BA in film & television production from Loyola Marymount University. I’ve worked as a camera operator, camera assistant, and production assistant on shows like Survivor and Cooking Hawaiian Style.
Cooking Hawaiian Style.
This cooking show highlights local chefs and celebrities in Hawaiʻi. They share stories of where they come from and share a dish with viewers that is close to home for them. It’s been an honor to have been a camera operator with them for the past two years now.
Fill Your Cup at The Coffee Store Napili.
Meet Melissa Bundek of the Coffee Store Nāpili on the West side of Maui. This short documentary on this little coffee shop offers more than coffee, but is a place for community and connection.
The Dutch Angle.
A short 10 min. documentary about horticulture in the Netherlands and how both traditional farmers and greenhouse farmers can learn from one another.
Women in Movement.
A short documentary I directed in Frankfurt, Germany tells the story of self-defense teacher Sunny Graff. She shares the story of her activism in giving women and girls the tools to be safe in today’s world.
Silks & Silke.
This short documentary focuses on the life of Silke, a costume designer from Berlin. She has a childlike joy when it comes to creating and through the documentary she explains her creative process.
Mentora y Mentiras.
This short narrative is about a girl named Luz who has to write an essay on someone she looks up to but the person she chooses isn’t exactly what she had in mind.
Break Your Heart.
This is a music video I shot for Sabrina Who. I won’t spoil what it’s about but by the title I’m sure it’s obvious.
Call Me When You Get There.
This story follows a young girl in college, Julie, as she goes home for the weekend to visit her mother. Julie is struggling at school, having recently experienced a traumatic event. She wants to seek help from her mother, but the two women struggle to connect.
‘Ulu Pūlehu.
In this short film, Hōkūao Pellegrino of Nohoʻana Farm in Waikapū walks us through the process of ʻulu pūlehu, or roasting breadfruit in a traditional lua ahi (fire pit). This film is meant to preserve the traditional dessert known as ʻulu pūlehu.
This film was produced by Maui Huliau Foundation, a non-profit organization serving Maui’s youth. I have been a part of Maui Huliau since 2018 and currently serve as their program coordinator for their environmental filmmaking division.
